Mission Statement
Soccer Saves is committed to helping create healthy lifestyles for disadvantaged youth by partnering with global humanitarian organizations that work to provide HIV/AIDS education, nutrition, gender equity and reproductive health using the power of soccer—the world’s greatest game!
Soccer Saves, a division of Northwest Soccer Fund, is a registered State of Washington 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, U.S.A.
Soccer Saves Goals
- To leverage the extensive body of sports based programming work, develop a program which targets young men and women ages 12-18 in the communities that Save the Children serves in Africa. 2009-2010 Target: To 100,000 young boys and girls.
- To publish “white papers” and participate in other knowledge sharing forums so that the work (successes and setbacks) can be leveraged by others that engage in sports based programming.
- To monitor and evaluate the program in a manner consistent with donor expectations and humanitarian industry practices.
